About
Choukran celebrates contemporary Moroccan cuisine in a vibrant, colorful setting in Paris's 9th arrondissement. Led by chef Abdel Alaoui, this hybrid restaurant blends tradition with street-food authenticity. Pop-inspired décor features zellige tilework, whitewashed walls, and curated Moroccan objects, creating a warm urban atmosphere. The menu showcases flavorful couscous with vegetarian broth, generous kémias (small plates), and signature sandwiches including the Kazdal (merguez in msmen flatbread) and Bledwich (shredded beef in brioche). Dishes balance Moroccan generosity with culinary refinement. Attentive, convivial service. Winner of the 2023 Palmes de la Restauration in the Casual Dining category.
