Aoyama is an authentic Tokyo-style restaurant located on rue de Gand in Vieux-Lille. Founded by Florian after two years in Tokyo, it offers refined Japanese cuisine far from sushi and maki clichés. The concept is based on « ichiju sansai »: a menu composed of a rice bowl, miso soup, and three dishes chosen from a dozen options renewed monthly. All dishes are prepared in-house with carefully selected fresh ingredients. The minimalist décor, typical Japanese noren curtains, and zen atmosphere create a genuine escape to Tokyo. The establishment also offers revisited Japanese pastries, a selection of teas and sake, plus a small grocery and cultural space with books about Japan.
