Terres de Café — Café Review | Condé Nast Traveler

Okay, you’ve just walked in. First impressions? At first glance, this shoe boxed-sized café only seems suitable for knocking back an espresso. But it's worth lingering over a latte among in-the-know coffee drinkers. (It’s also one of several locations in Paris for the coffee roasters). Who else was there? Coffee connoisseurs, baristas-in-training, curious consumers (it's a great place to learn what equipment you should have if you're interested in home brewing). The raison d’être: the coffee. How was it? If you like flat whites or antipodean-style coffee, consider this your go-to for a proper cup. The baristas know what they're doing: Each coffee is nice and strong and consistently extracted with just the right crema. Was there food, too, and if so, worth getting? Pastries from an award-winning pastry chef. How about the staff: what did you think? Staff wavers between overconfident and just-the-right-amount of expert. Expect all your abiding coffee questions to be answered in one visit. Who should go here? A leisurely coffee or a crash course in coffee sourcing, roasting, and brewing, if so inclined.
