About
Maison Proust is a five-star boutique hotel in the heart of the Marais, designed as a tribute to Marcel Proust's world and the Belle Époque. Created by designer Jacques Garcia after seven years of restoration, this intimate establishment features 23 thematic suites dedicated to figures from Proust's circle: Sarah Bernhardt, Charles Baudelaire, Auguste Renoir. Each room reveals refined atmosphere with period tapestries, leather-lined woodwork and antique artworks. The legendary bar, led by Colin Field formerly of the Ritz, serves literary-themed cocktails including the Madeleine de Proust. The circular library houses over a thousand rare volumes. The underground Spa La Mer, inspired by Aunt Léonie's Orientalist salons, features Moroccan zellige tilework, a heated pool and hammam.
