Experimental Cocktail Club
Cocktail bar — Bonne-Nouvelle (Paris)
About
A pioneer of Paris's mixology revolution since 2007, the Experimental Cocktail Club transformed the city's cocktail scene. Founded by Romée de Goriainoff, Olivier Bon and Pierre-Charles Cros, this discreet Montorgueil speakeasy crafts entirely original cocktails using quality spirits, house-made syrups, fresh fruits and subtle spices. The bar refuses commercial sodas and constantly reinvents its menu every six months. The atmosphere blends vintage design with exposed beams, scraped stone walls and comfortable Chesterfield couches, evoking a subtly worn English club aesthetic. Bartenders juggle ingredients behind a small zinc counter while a DJ occasionally performs behind an old piano. The sophisticated, thirty-something clientele comes to savor drinks with poetic and mysterious names.
