Delicatessen Place
Wine bar — Quartier De La Folie Mericourt (Paris)
About
Delicatessen Place is an intimate wine bar tucked into a former shoemaker's shop, transformed into a warm neighborhood spot by Mireille and her team since 2016. This tiny space with vintage paintings and original signage captures authentic Parisian character. Under Irish chef Hugh Corcoran (formerly Pères populaires), the kitchen delivers simple, refined dishes: anchovy eggs, Greek-style radishes, asparagus with pecorino, steamed artichokes, and Provençal beef daube. The wine selection focuses on natural wines from small French producers like Alexandre Langlois and Jean-Philippe Padié. A charming corner establishment where locals gather for honest food and wine in an unpretentious, convivial atmosphere.
