À propos

Aspic is an intimate gastronomic restaurant in Paris's 9th arrondissement, founded by Quentin Giroud, a former financier turned chef. Offering a unique seven-course tasting menu at 119€, the establishment highlights local and seasonal products with creative and technical cuisine. The small team - just a few people in the kitchen and dining room - provides a close and personal experience where chefs personally present their dishes. Michelin-starred since 2020, Aspic stands out for its artisanal approach, precise cooking techniques, and exceptional value. The restaurant prioritizes short supply chains, farm-raised meats, and line-caught fish, with a menu that constantly changes according to the chef's inspiration.

Aspic CHECK OUT THIS QUAINT AND MEMORABLE GASTRONOMIC RESTAURANT BY TALENTED CHEF QUENTIN GIROUD. Although chef extraordinaire Quentin Giroud does not yet have a Michelin star there are many in the city who believe that he should be swimming in them. A visit to his gastronomic restaurant Aspic may soon have you singing a similar tune. Of course, we see the appeal of this charming restaurant and why chef Giroud's cuisine does indeed seem to be worthy of at least a Michelin star. The restaurant only serves a seven course meal, but what is on offer is truly delightful and the prices are more than accessible making the experience both a culinary as well as economic treat. Don't be surprised, when with the presentation of each course you will not only get a 'how' it was made but also a history of the products, their origin, and of course the wine. Wine here is taken seriously, and boasts in a truly well-selected edit of some very noteworthy small French producers. If U are thinking it all feels like an in-the-known experience, that's because it truly is one. The locals keep a tight lip on this 9th arrondissement gem for fear of it being overrun by tourists. IDEAL FOR A memorable dining experience. SIGNATURE DISHES Daily changing seven course set menu. SIGNATURE DRINKS Great selection of noteworthy small French winemakers. HIGHLIGHTS A truly well-kept delightful Parisian gastronomic secret, kitchen under the helm of talented chef Quentin Giroud, serves only a seven course set meal, affordably priced, believed by many to be well-deserving of a Michelin star, chic local clientele, friendly and knowledgeable staff, located in the renowned 9th arrondissement.

Aspic by Quentin Giroud, Paris – Daffodil Kitchen

Andrew and I were so excited to be back in Paris after a rather long hiatus due to Covid. We came to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and started our long weekend with a bang at the fabulous Apsic, a small 1 star Michelin restaurant in the 9th district in Paris. With only 20 covers, chef Quentin Giroud and his small team produce an amazing 7 courses using local, fresh, seasonal ingredients. There is no menu, this wonderful selection of food is explained to you by their impeccable and friendly waiting staff, as it is served. We chose the wine pairing to accompany the food. Given you do not know in advance what you will be eating, I really recommend this option. We drank a selection of white and red wines from small, French winemakers which worked deliciously well with the food. It is difficult to pick a favourite from our incredible menu but I have to say the roasted cuttlefish with romesco sauce and the Auvergne blue cheese with white chocolate ganache, blew my mind.
